Ali Amini was born in Iran into a family with a rich history of carpet making. 

In 1980 Ali started his career as a fashion designer, and ran a clothing company selling his designer fashion ware through a few specialty boutiques. 

Influenced by his own family, Ali later developed a strong passion for hand made rugs. As a hobby he began to make, repair and design hand knotted and hand woven rugs for his customers.

After coming to Canada in 1992, Ali continued to work as a repairman & wholesaler and in 1997 he opened up his own store.

Ali continues to develop very strong relationships with many famous interior designers. His reputation is well known in Vancouver and his customers range from all over North America. 

Ali travels the world to buy his merchandise and he selects the very best examples of fine tribal rugs, tapestries, saddlebags, pillows, nomadic fabrics and other varieties of hand made products.
